Service Technician — HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical

Job overview

The Service Technician — HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical role is onsite in Newton, MA, with pay of $25–$45 per hour. The technician serves commercial and residential clients through the Service and Construction department. T&J Heating, A/C and Plumbing provides installation, repair, and maintenance services throughout New England. The role maintains existing customers’ heating and cooling equipment through service calls and seasonal maintenance. It also evaluates systems for safety, efficiency, and code compliance, completing repairs and documenting work to meet customer expectations.

What you'll do

• Repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment
• perform preventive maintenance inspections and make adjustments or repairs
• evaluate systems for efficiency, safety, and code compliance
• respond to scheduled emergency after-hours calls
• complete work orders and maintain records of labor, materials, and work
• manage tools and parts inventory
• inspect completed jobs and follow applicable codes and safety procedures.
