Paramedic II — Life Flight Advanced Life Support

What you'll do

• Provide direct patient care within the paramedic scope of practice and medical oversight
• assist clinical staff with patient evaluation, treatment, and care
• obtain histories and perform physical examinations
• monitor patients and document care and response in electronic records
• communicate with the healthcare team
• operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies
• complete vehicle inspections and road tests
• maintain, fuel, and clean assigned vehicles
• provide ALS I, ALS II, or BLS transport care within scope
• replenish oxygen and medical supplies
• drive safely
• provide staffing coverage to bases as needed
• support precepting and performance-improvement activities.

Why this role

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, plus a current Class C driver’s license. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree and PHTLS, BTLS, or ITLS are preferred. The role requires lifting and supporting up to 75 pounds.
