Assembly Technician 2

The Assembly Technician 2 role is onsite in Caroline County, VA, with compensation of $26–$33 per hour. The position supports M.C. Dean’s work delivering power and technology solutions for mission-critical facilities and infrastructure. The technician assembles and prepares equipment and components, following fabrication documents and engineering specifications. The work supports accurate, safe, and quality-focused production through assembly, basic testing, documentation, and preparation for shipping.

What you'll do

• Prepare equipment and components for shipping
• gather parts, tools, and materials
• interpret fabrication documents, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
• assist with verifying, testing, and documenting wiring terminations, cabling, and basic components
• document progress and apply asset tags
• assemble racks, enclosures, back panels, and components
• route, secure, and terminate basic copper cables and assemble basic copper cable harnesses
• cut and drill materials
• kit equipment and materials for assembly and shipping
• follow project safety plans.
