The Maintenance Technician — Industrial Equipment, 3rd Shift role is onsite in Des Plaines, IL; pay is $27–$33 per hour, plus overtime. Sterling Engineering is recruiting for a manufacturer of regulated dental products. The technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment and facility systems to support uptime and safe operations. The role also assists engineering with new equipment installation, testing, modification, and validation.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance on manual, semi-automated, and automated production equipment
• troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems
• diagnose issues using PLC displays and CNC controls
• interpret schematics, ladder diagrams, blueprints, and manuals
• adjust sensors, interlocks, controls, and energy-isolation devices
• maintain maintenance and calibration records
• support facility systems
• assist with equipment installation, testing, modification, and validation
• follow LOTO, Arc Flash, and safety procedures.
