The Avionics Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA. Compensation is $105,000–$135,000 per year. The role supports Impulse Space’s spacecraft electronics development for its Electra electric propulsion system. The engineer designs and tests avionics hardware, owning circuit-board development from analysis and design through lab debugging, qualification, integration, and flight operations. The work contributes to spacecraft electronics and requires close collaboration with software, propulsion, guidance, navigation and control, manufacturing, and test teams.

What you'll do

• Develop circuit boards for spacecraft electric propulsion systems, especially actuator drivers or power converters
• analyze and simulate avionics devices and systems
• own hardware from board bring-up and debugging through qualification and flight operations
• define hardware interfaces and verify requirements
• and partner with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, propulsion, and test teams.
