Group Fitness Instructor

Job overview

The Group Fitness Instructor role is onsite in Seattle, WA, and is part-time and hourly; compensation is based on experience and local market benchmarks. The instructor supports Bouldering Project’s fitness offerings and its goal of making movement and connection accessible. The role exists to lead safe, inclusive group classes and help participants engage with movement at different fitness levels and abilities. Instructors prepare and coach classes, maintain a welcoming studio environment, and contribute to the organization’s community-centered fitness culture.

What you'll do

• Design and lead 30–60 minute group fitness classes, including formats such as HIIT, strength, core, mobility, and functional fitness. Demonstrate and coach movement techniques with modifications and progressions
• welcome participants
• maintain safety, cleanliness, and class tracking
• respond to injuries and emergencies under established protocols
• coordinate coverage when unavailable
• and attend required meetings and training.
