Production Planner

Job overview

The Production Planner is an onsite role based in North Bay, NY. The compensation range is $80,000 to $110,000 per year. This role supports the production planning team at Superior Metals Manufacturing, a super alloy foundry specializing in complex aerospace and gas turbine components. The overarching purpose of this role is to coordinate, prepare, and ship outgoing alloy while ensuring all required procedures are followed and related testing, inspection, and paperwork are accurate and complete. The planner reviews alloy melt plans to determine finished good requirements and manages job creation to meet production schedules.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain Oracle finished goods Master Items, Bills of Materials, and Routings.
• Review customer purchase orders to determine specific item requirements.
• Coordinate and prioritize alloy through operations based on customer order dates and inventory needs.
• Analyze customer inquiries to provide Sales with information for quotations.
• Implement modifications to orders in process.
• Review and update manufacturing order status.
• Perform Oracle shipping transactions.
• Coordinate freight carriers and forwarders.
• Develop and maintain daily shipping reports.
• Determine casting revert requirements.
