The Behavioral Health Technician – Specialized Residential Services role is onsite in Prescott Valley, AZ, with shifts from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM and weekend availability required. Pay is $18.50–$20.30 per hour plus a $2–$3 shift differential. Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center provides residential behavioral health treatment for adolescents. The technician provides direct care, supervision, structure, and therapeutic support to adolescent girls as they work toward treatment goals. By implementing individualized plans, coaching life skills, and using trauma-informed support and de-escalation techniques, the role helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment in coordination with the clinical team.
What you'll do
- Maintain safety, security, and therapeutic structure
- actively supervise youth
- coach daily living and independent living skills
- facilitate life-skills activities and community outings
- support recreational, academic, and approved on- and off-campus activities
- observe behavior and progress
- implement treatment plans, behavioral interventions, and safety plans
- use positive reinforcement, redirection, de-escalation, and crisis intervention techniques
- document observations and incidents
- report safety concerns
- maintain confidentiality
- participate in meetings, training, and supervision
- support clinical programming as directed.
