The Maintenance Technician — Assisted Living role is onsite in Carrboro, NC. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. The technician maintains the facility, grounds, equipment, and building systems so they remain safe, clean, functional, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. Preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and prompt responses to requests help support reliable facility operations and resident well-being.

What you'll do

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in resident rooms, common areas, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas. Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, and other building systems. Complete preventive maintenance and document work orders. Repair or replace fixtures and facility components
• perform basic painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and handyman work. Maintain grounds and monitor mechanical rooms, utility areas, fire safety equipment, and emergency systems. Assist with inspections, identify and report hazards, coordinate specialized repairs with contractors, maintain supply inventory, and respond to facility-related emergencies. Follow infection-control, safety, emergency-preparedness, and resident-privacy procedures.
