Job overview

The Principal Aircraft Structures Technician works onsite at Elliott Aviation’s Moline, IL location in the Quad Cities area. Pay is $45–$60 per hour. Elliott Aviation’s structures team supports aircraft safety and performance through repair and modification work. The technician independently owns complex structural projects from planning through completion, performing inspections, fabrication, repairs, and modifications to maintain aircraft airworthiness. The role also supports team capability by mentoring junior technicians and documenting work to FAA and company standards.

What you'll do

• Perform advanced sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and structural repairs
• use engineering drawings, SRMs, and technical data to complete modifications
• perform precision drilling, countersinking, and fastening
• complete close-tolerance assembly and structural installations
• identify, remove, and treat corrosion
• own projects from planning through completion
• meet FAA and company quality standards
• document maintenance and repair activity
• and mentor junior technicians.

Why this role
