BAS Controls Installation and Service Technician

Job overview

The BAS Controls Installation and Service Technician works onsite in Taylor, Michigan, with service projects throughout Southeast Michigan. The schedule is Monday–Friday, with on-call rotations, overtime, and weekends as needed. Compensation is $25–$55+ per hour based on knowledge and experience. The role supports Engineered Comfort Systems’ commercial and industrial HVAC and building automation work. The technician installs, integrates, commissions, troubleshoots, and improves building automation systems and HVAC controls. The role verifies system operation in the building, documents work, and communicates findings and next steps to customers and project teams.

What you'll do

• Install and service building automation controls for HVAC equipment
• install low-voltage and communications wiring, controllers, sensors, relays, actuators, and panels
• support PC- and IP-based integration
• configure, test, commission, and start up DDC systems
• troubleshoot controls, HVAC operation, sequences, devices, and networks
• verify sequences in operation
• communicate findings, risks, status, and next steps
• document installations and service outcomes.
