Second-Shift Residential Counselor

The Second-Shift Residential Counselor role is onsite in Fountain Inn, SC. Compensation is not specified. Generations provides a program for at-risk male youth focused on helping them overcome traumatic experiences and interrupt the cycle of abuse. The counselor maintains resident safety and provides therapeutic supervision during treatment and educational activities. The role supports residents’ daily routines and behavioral needs through observation, documentation, and use of the program’s therapeutic safety techniques.

What you'll do

• Learn and implement approved policies and procedures
• provide active therapeutic supervision during treatment and educational activities
• assist with therapeutic activities and residents’ hygiene, chores, journaling, homework, and clinical assignments
• document behavior and interventions
• maintain constant supervision and conduct head counts
• complete shift reports and attend required meetings
• participate in training
• use TCI and C.A.R.E. techniques to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Why this role
