What you'll do

• Guide complex claims decisions, coverage analysis, litigation strategy, reserve adequacy, and settlement authority for high-exposure claims. Collaborate with executive leadership and Legal, Underwriting, Product, Actuarial, Finance, and Reinsurance teams on loss trends, portfolio exposure, profitability, and risk management. Lead complex claims personnel
• ensure regulatory compliance
• participate in underwriting, actuarial, client, and broker meetings
• oversee outside counsel, experts, and vendors
• resolve claim issues and complaints
• develop talent and improve operations.

Why this role

Juris Doctor required; 10+ years of commercial casualty claims experience and 7+ years leading complex claims organizations or technical teams required. Licensed adjuster required. Experience with Commercial General Liability, Commercial Auto, Excess Liability, Professional Liability, and New York Labor Law required.
