CNC Lathe Machinist

The CNC Lathe Machinist role is onsite in Portland, ME, with compensation of $25–$34 per hour. Double E manufactures web-handling and converting equipment and engineered solutions for production industries. This role produces precision components for core production lines in a low-volume, high-mix environment. The machinist sets up and operates CNC lathes, verifies parts against blueprints and tolerances, and works with teammates to address machining issues and improve production setups.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes and other machinery
• sequence jobs and manage frequent changeovers
• set tooling, fixtures, offsets, and programs
• inspect parts against blueprint dimensions and tolerances
• monitor cutting conditions and adjust tooling
• maintain equipment and a safe work area
• collaborate on troubleshooting and cross-train with machining, saw, assembly, and service teams.
