The dishwasher keeps dishes, cookware, equipment, and back-of-house areas clean and ready for service. The role maintains dish station supplies and organization, removes waste, follows chemical-handling and sanitation procedures, and contributes to a safe, respectful kitchen environment.

What you'll do

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• maintain supplies of clean service items
• keep the dishwashing station organized
• return clean items promptly
• sweep, mop, scrub, and clean back-of-house areas
• remove and properly dispose of garbage, recycling, cardboard, and food waste
• handle cleaning chemicals safely
• follow New York City health requirements and restaurant sanitation and food-safety procedures
• help maintain walk-ins and dry storage.
