Instructional Aide – Visually Impaired and Multidisabled Students

The Instructional Aide – Visually Impaired and Multidisabled Students role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA. Pay is $18 per hour. The aide works Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., assisting children with daily living needs and classroom instruction. The role helps students participate in classroom routines and educational activities while supporting their safety, personal care, and progress toward educational goals. The aide works with teachers and therapists, follows classroom schedules and behavior support plans, and documents student performance.

What you'll do

• Assist students with dressing, toileting, lifting, feeding, and other daily living activities, including G-tube feeding
• assist teachers and therapists with classroom activities
• support completion of educational goals and collect basic performance data
• follow Positive Behavior Support Plans
• help maintain a clean and safe classroom
• assist students during arrival and dismissal and transport them to classrooms
• accompany students to specialty classes, including swimming, horticulture, art, physical education, and music.
