The Nondestructive Testing Responsible Level III – Radiographic Testing (X-Ray) role is onsite in Salt Lake City, UT, with travel between company facilities in the Western United States. Compensation is $125,000–$150,000 per year. The position supports Karman Space & Defense’s Tactical Missiles and Integrated Defense Systems business. As the technical authority for radiographic testing, this role standardizes inspection procedures and capabilities, oversees compliance and personnel certification, and develops the RT organization across facilities. It works with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and EHS to support product quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement for aerospace and defense requirements.

What you'll do

• Provide technical direction for radiographic testing challenges and methods
• develop, qualify, approve, and maintain inspection procedures and practices
• define requirements for X-ray systems and support their selection and implementation
• maintain personnel qualification and certification requirements
• mentor and assess RT personnel
• oversee NADCAP RT accreditation and audit readiness
• ensure compliance with applicable standards and records requirements
• partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on inspection solutions
• lead investigations and corrective actions
• and drive improvement and standardization across facilities.
