Data Science / Data Engineering Support Engineer

The Data Science / Data Engineering Support Engineer role is onsite in Washington, DC, five days per week. Compensation is not specified. The role supports data science and engineering tools, platforms, and infrastructure for a client through System One’s workforce-services business. This is a technical support and troubleshooting role, not a software-development or data-science subject-matter-expert position. The engineer diagnoses issues across tools, workflows, applications, and infrastructure, works with data and engineering teams to resolve them, documents resolutions, and escalates complex problems when appropriate.

What you'll do

• Support and troubleshoot data science, data engineering, and analytics tools and platforms
• troubleshoot data processing, analytical workflows, applications, and infrastructure
• support Linux environments and configuration, connectivity, performance, and environment issues
• work with data scientists, engineers, and infrastructure teams
• support Databricks, RStudio, or comparable platforms
• assist with data pipelines, processing workflows, and cloud-based data environments
• document issues and resolutions
• escalate complex issues when appropriate.
