The CNC Machinist — Lathe, 2nd Shift role is onsite in Burbank, CA. The Monday–Friday schedule is 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; overtime may change start or end times, and overtime and weekends may be required. Compensation is $34.00–$46.50 per hour, with a 10% second-shift differential after successful first-shift training. The role supports Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ Landing & Cabin Systems team. The machinist sets up and operates CNC lathes to produce parts that meet specifications and quality standards. By interpreting work orders and blueprints, monitoring machining, measuring finished parts, and documenting shift activity, the role supports reliable aerospace manufacturing.

What you'll do

• Interpret work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
• validate materials
• maintain specifications and troubleshoot machine issues
• identify worn tools and machining problems
• measure finished parts with precision instruments and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards
• document and communicate work between shifts
• maintain safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery standards.
