This role provides professional nursing care for residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles, demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilize appropriate age and population specific standards, perform testing to evaluate resident status, recognize problems and recommend solutions, respond effectively in emergent situations, ensure health, comfort, and safety of residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, provide technical support, document resident interactions and outcomes, establish and maintain effective working relationships, work effectively with professional and supportive personnel, communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality, counsel residents and family members on treatment plans, develop self-care programs, perform other related duties.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Experience

Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
