CNC Machinist, Day Shift

Job overview

The CNC Machinist, Day Shift role is onsite in Cedar Park, TX, and pays $25–$30 per hour. The machinist supports production in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The role sets up and operates CNC equipment to produce parts that meet engineering specifications. Careful measurement, inspection, and troubleshooting help identify quality issues before nonconforming parts move forward in production.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
• perform setup changes and first-article inspections
• load parts using overhead lifting equipment as needed
• prove programs, set offsets, and make basic edits
• deburr and inspect finished parts
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• select and maintain fixtures and cutting tools
• monitor operations and adjust controls or programs
• document and communicate quality concerns
• maintain measurements, work area, and equipment
• follow safety and environmental policies.
