What you'll do

• Maintain and organize patient records
• document and return phone messages as directed
• manage internal and external referrals and records requests
• verify and process releases of information
• scan, index, and track medical data in the EHR
• locate records and reports
• pull charts for audits
• perform filing, copying, emailing, and faxing
• assist with transcription or scribe duties if trained and assigned
• and support complete documentation and insurance inquiries. Requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant certification or current medical-assistant certification with at least one year of office or clinical experience.
