The Assistant Clinical Director (Registered Nurse) role is onsite in Peabody, MA; The position supports Ascend Hospice’s regional hospice teams and interdisciplinary teams in delivering coordinated hospice services. The assistant director provides clinical and administrative supervision, supports care planning and documentation quality, and develops staff. By monitoring compliance, coordinating coverage, and supporting regional goals, the role helps maintain consistent hospice care for patients and families.

What you'll do

• Provide leadership for interdisciplinary team meetings
• review and revise patient and family care plans
• identify staff development needs
• supervise medical record maintenance and compliance audits
• review clinical data
• monitor care-plan completion and documentation
• submit plans of correction when required
• conduct supervisory visits
• maintain facility relationships and provide education
• arrange on-call and staff-time-off coverage
• support census, admissions, and referral conversion goals
• travel as required.

Why this role

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a state-certified registered nurse license, five years of professional nursing experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Hospice experience is strongly preferred; CHPN certification is a plus. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
