Vice President of Institutional Advancement

The Vice President of Institutional Advancement is an onsite, campus-based leadership role in Misenheimer, NC, and the successful candidate must live within 45 minutes of campus. The salary range is $130,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Pfeiffer University’s mission is to provide transformational, personalized education that prepares graduates to lead and serve. Reporting to the President and serving on the President’s Cabinet, this executive leads the advancement program to build philanthropic capacity, strengthen the team, and deepen donor and alumni relationships. The role advances university priorities through fundraising strategy, major-gift work, campaign readiness, and accountable team leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead a donor-centered advancement program covering major and principal gifts, annual giving, planned and legacy giving, grants, alumni engagement, stewardship, and campaign strategy
• maintain a portfolio of high-potential donors and prospects
• partner with the President on gift strategy and donor visits
• develop a strategic gift pipeline and cases for support
• create long-range advancement plans and assess campaign readiness
• use donor data and performance measures
• communicate progress and risks to university leadership
• lead, mentor, and develop the advancement team
• strengthen campus-wide philanthropy and advancement operations.
