The Real Estate Closing Paralegal works onsite in Columbia, SC, at a Northeast Columbia office. Pay is $50,000–$60,000 per year. The role supports a South Carolina law firm’s residential real estate practice serving clients throughout the Midlands and beyond. The paralegal manages residential transactions from opening through closing and post-closing, coordinating documents, funds, deadlines, and communications. Accurate transaction management and client updates help attorneys and other participants complete closings efficiently and provide a strong client experience.

What you'll do

• Manage residential real estate transactions from opening through post-closing
• prepare and review settlement statements, closing disclosures, deeds, affidavits, loan documents, and related materials
• review title commitments, surveys, and policies
• coordinate with lenders, agents, title companies, attorneys, and clients
• schedule closings
• assist with in-person and remote closings
• coordinate closing funds
• record documents
• assemble closing packages
• maintain files and checklists
• provide status updates and manage multiple deadlines.

Why this role

Requires at least one year of residential real estate closing experience and an associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate. Bachelor’s degree, SoftPro experience, and knowledge of South Carolina real estate and recording requirements are preferred.
