The Marketing and Communications Intern role is onsite at The Westervelt Company headquarters in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. The internship is scheduled for fall 2026 and ongoing, with 20 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours per week during summer. The intern supports sustainability reporting and communications that tell Westervelt’s sustainability story and support responsible stewardship of natural resources. The intern contributes to corporate communications through writing, editing, design, video, digital content, and asset organization. The work helps communicate company initiatives and supports employee engagement and marketing projects.

What you'll do

• Write, edit, and proofread Sustainability Report content
• support internal communications and employee messaging
• assist with social media and digital content
• create and update layouts in Adobe InDesign
• support graphic design and marketing materials
• prepare files for print and digital publication
• create and edit short-form video
• work with multimedia assets
• digitize and catalog historical company documents
• manage digital assets and metadata
• upload content to digital asset management platforms
• assist with employee events and communications projects.
