The Utility Locator role is onsite in Grand Island, NE, serving the Tri-Cities region. Compensation is $20–$23 per hour. Viaero Fiber Networks is hiring to locate and protect its fiber network and support safe excavation practices. The locator identifies and marks underground fiber lines, documents findings, and communicates with contractors, clients, project managers, and office staff. Accurate, timely ticket completion and coordination of excavation standbys help protect network infrastructure and support safe construction work.

What you'll do

• Use electromagnetic locating equipment to identify underground fiber lines
• mark locations with flags, paint, or stakes
• document locations and observations with photos and electronic records
• complete assigned tickets by due dates
• conduct site surveys and coordinate standbys
• communicate risks and findings to contractors, property owners, and project managers
• follow safety protocols and industry standards
• participate in rotating on-call coverage for evenings, weeks, and holidays.
