Senior Engineer — Water/Wastewater

The Senior Engineer — Water/Wastewater role is onsite in San Francisco, CA. Compensation is $152,000–$170,000 per year. Sherwood Design Engineers’ mission is to engineer an environmentally and socially regenerative planet, and this role supports its Water/Wastewater team. The engineer leads technical scopes and develops water, wastewater, and water-reuse infrastructure solutions across project phases. The role also supports client relationships, quality management, regulatory compliance, project delivery, and the development of team members.

What you'll do

• Lead technical scopes of work
• develop and review calculations, design criteria, and technical memorandums
• support process evaluation, facilities planning, design, permitting, compliance, construction administration, and operations planning
• coordinate integrated solutions with teams and subconsultants
• implement quality assurance and quality control
• plan and direct design engineers’ work
• mentor staff
• ensure designs comply with applicable regulations
• communicate technical information to clients.
