The role supports InsureMyTrip’s Digital Commerce Platform, building and evolving technology for travel insurance comparison and e-commerce experiences. The engineer develops and maintains reliable, secure, high-performing applications and services. The role contributes to platform modernization, system design, production reliability, and engineering practices in collaboration with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and Site Reliability teams.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain e-commerce applications and services
• contribute to backend and/or frontend components, legacy stabilization, and modern architecture
• write maintainable, tested code
• participate in code reviews
• maintain technical specifications, architecture diagrams, API contracts, and integration documentation
• apply Site Reliability Engineering principles
• improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability
• support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews
• contribute to scalable and secure system design
• support API-first and cloud-based modernization
• and collaborate across Product, QA, and DevOps. Participate in on-call rotations as required.
