Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse position is onsite in Newark, NY, with compensation of $35–$38 per hour. Catholic Charities Family and Community Services serves people during vulnerable periods as they work toward independence. The nurse provides and coordinates client health services, supports wellness, and helps ensure trauma-informed care. The role also oversees assigned LPN or Medical Liaison staff and contributes to program operations and quality activities.

What you'll do

• Assess clients’ health and identify immediate and long-term care needs
• make referrals and recommendations
• connect clients with local resources
• coordinate care with agency staff, providers, justice agencies, and community organizations
• document assessments and case records
• oversee and supervise assigned LPN or Medical Liaison staff
• provide health monitoring and administer prescribed injectable medications
• coordinate discharge planning
• educate clients on health and wellness.

Why this role

Limited part-time schedule on Saturdays and Sundays. Requires an associate degree in nursing, a valid Registered Professional Nurse license, and a valid, clean New York State driver’s license. Spanish bilingual ability and relevant experience are preferred.
