The Electrical Control Panel Shop Summer Intern role is an onsite, shop-based internship in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is not specified. The intern gains practical experience in industrial control panel fabrication and assembly while supporting panel-shop production. Working alongside panel builders and engineers, the intern learns to interpret drawings, handle components and tools safely, and contribute to project schedules and shop organization.

What you'll do

• Learn to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• assist with back-panel layout, component mounting, and wire routing
• support control-panel assembly and wiring
• learn fabrication techniques and safe hand- and power-tool use
• work with engineers on drawing revisions and project questions
• help meet production schedules
• organize inventory, handle materials, track components, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

For a rising sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, engineering technology, or a related field. Previous panel-building experience is not required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
