The Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Engineer role is onsite in Dayton, OH. Compensation is $140,000–$154,000 per year. The engineer designs, prototypes, integrates, and tests technical solutions for a government-owned modeling and simulation laboratory environment. The work supports interoperability and readiness by connecting simulation systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping plan and execute demonstrations and evaluations.

What you'll do

• Install, configure, and maintain a JSE-in-a-box stack aligned to current JSE Technical Baseline releases
• integrate simulators and tools across security levels using networking standards and protocols
• integrate simulation frameworks such as AFSIM and NGTS
• support system maintenance and operational readiness
• collaborate on demonstrations, dry runs, evaluations, and event debriefs
• troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, networks, simulators, and tools
• support hardware installations, demonstrations, and facility changes.

Why this role

Requires 7+ years integrating and operating modeling and simulation systems and 2+ years operating in the Joint Simulation Environment or JSE-in-a-Box. An active or recent Secret Collateral clearance is required, with eligibility for TS/SCI; DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance is desired.
