CNC Machinist (QSS)

The CNC Machinist (QSS) role is onsite in Boulder, CO, during the day shift. Compensation is $75,000–$80,000 per year, with eligibility to participate in an annual incentive plan. Infleqtion’s work supports scientific and engineering hardware development. The role exists to produce accurate, inspection-ready prototype components and precision fixtures while improving shop responsiveness and turnaround time. Working under the technical direction of the Master Machinist, the machinist independently handles defined work and collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, development, and quality colleagues on changing priorities.

What you'll do

• Fabricate prototype components and precision fixtures from drawings, models, sketches, and verbal requirements
• set up and operate CNC and manual fabrication equipment
• create or modify straightforward CNC programs and select tooling and machining parameters
• machine materials including aluminum, titanium, steels, glass, and silicon
• inspect parts and document results
• finish and package parts
• maintain equipment, tooling, work areas, and supplies
• diagnose machining and dimensional issues
• collaborate with engineers, scientists, technicians, and quality personnel
• improve workflows, safety, quality, and turnaround time.
