The internship provides hands-on learning in the tools and materials used to construct and maintain electric lines. It is intended to build the knowledge and skills needed for Apprentice Lineman I duties and successful completion of the program’s Third Class courses.

What you'll do

• Attend the Electrical Line Worker program full time Monday through Thursday and work with a line crew on Fridays
• learn tools and materials for electric-line construction and maintenance
• develop skills for Apprentice Lineman I duties
• follow cooperative safety policies
• operate power tools and equipment and climb poles with hooks as required.
