Short Order Cook

The Short Order Cook role is onsite in Sewickley, PA. Compensation starts at $17.25 per hour, based on experience, with an additional $1 per hour weekend shift differential. The cook works in the nursing care kitchen and dining operation at Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania’s Sewickley campus, whose mission is to help individuals, families, and children realize their potential and quality of life. The cook prepares and serves meals while maintaining food safety, portion control, and a clean dining environment. The role also supports residents’ dietary needs and provides prompt, courteous service to residents and other customers.

What you'll do

• Prepare breakfast and alternative items as directed
• serve food neatly and promptly using portion-control procedures
• obtain supplies and maintain inventory and stock lists
• contribute menu ideas
• store food properly and maintain temperature logs
• clean the kitchen and wash dishes and pots
• account for therapeutic and mechanically altered diets, allergies, and preferences
• stock dining room kitchens.
