Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager role is onsite in Tustin, CA. Compensation is $125,000–$150,000 per year. Design West Technologies has served the Department of War with mission-critical design engineering and rugged manufacturing solutions; this role supports compliance and financial operations for its government programs. The manager leads day-to-day accounting, reporting, close processes, and government-contract compliance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit readiness. The role collaborates with Finance, Contracts, Program Management, Operations, and executive leadership and supervises accounting staff.

What you'll do

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, reconciliations, and reporting
• lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• maintain accurate records
• ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, GAAP, company policies, and contract requirements
• support DCAA audits and reviews
• maintain audit-ready records and internal controls
• assist with indirect-rate forecasting, incurred-cost submissions, and government reporting
• support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and variance analysis
• improve accounting processes
• supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
