What you'll do

• Guide colleagues through leave, accommodations, and benefits processes
• administer leave programs and benefit plans, including enrollment, eligibility, and coverage guidance
• advise colleagues and managers on leave laws, paid time off, disability, and benefits interactions
• communicate with colleagues about leave and benefits matters
• oversee return-to-work processes and life-event changes
• partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and benefit vendors on accurate administration and process improvements
• educate managers on leave, accommodations, and benefits practices
• maintain confidentiality of employee information
• manage administration databases for accuracy.

Why this role

Requires two or more years of HR leave and accommodations experience and benefits experience, plus a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred; specialized FMLA or leave-administration training is a plus. The role requires knowledge of applicable leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Maine FML.
