Contract IT Support Engineer

The Contract IT Support Engineer role is onsite in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Pay is $40–$45 per hour. The position is a contract with potential for a permanent role and supports Simplex’s Hoffman Estates team in a HIPAA-regulated environment. The engineer provides hands-on technical support and systems assistance for employees, executives, devices, collaboration tools, and SaaS platforms. The role contributes to reliable, secure day-to-day operations by resolving issues, managing access and equipment, and supporting compliance and internal technology processes.

What you'll do

• Administer and support Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Orchard Software, and other SaaS tools
• provide in-person hardware, software, and connectivity support
• deliver executive-level technology support
• configure and maintain primarily macOS laptops using Jamf or similar tools
• support AV systems and Zoom Rooms
• manage onboarding and offboarding equipment and accounts
• triage and resolve IT tickets
• collaborate with IT and Security on automation, process improvements, and documentation
• comply with HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, and internal security standards.
