What you'll do
- Verify patient insurance before appointments
- maintain accurate insurance and demographic information in the electronic health record
- help patients assess and apply for Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and assistance programs
- interpret sliding fee scales
- document eligibility and coverage
- respond to billing questions
- and coordinate follow-up with front office and other departments.
