Therapeutic Arts Specialist

Job overview

The Therapeutic Arts Specialist role is based in client homes and other settings throughout the North Bay region, including Marin County, Petaluma, Novato, San Rafael, and Santa Rosa. The schedule is variable at 25–30 hours per week, with potential to increase to 35 hours; pay is $39–$43 per hour. The role supports Sage Eldercare Solutions’ Hummingbird Project, which focuses on quality of life for older adults and adults with varied support needs. The specialist creates individualized, relationship-centered engagement experiences that promote purpose, creativity, connection, autonomy, and joy, coordinating with clients, families, care teams, and community partners to support holistic outcomes.

What you'll do

• Conduct quality-of-life consultations, assessments, and intake visits
• develop individualized engagement plans
• deliver and adapt therapeutic sessions
• communicate significant changes in client status
• collaborate with families, care managers, healthcare professionals, and community partners
• complete documentation and maintain schedules and records
• participate in outreach, supervision, team meetings, and continuing education
• travel throughout the assigned service area.
