CDL Driver - Local, onsite, Taylor, TX. Pay is $24.00-$24.50 per hour. PODS is a moving and storage company. This role is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, ensuring safe and efficient operations while maintaining excellent customer rapport.

What you'll do

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner.
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Accept add-on deliveries as required.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer.
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts.
• Provide backup for storage center functions.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.

What we're looking for

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

High School diploma or equivalent; Valid CDL Class B License Required without air brake restriction; Must maintain a current/valid driver license; Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards; Must be at least 21 years of age; Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1 year certification; Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred; Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
