What you'll do

• Prospect for commercial recycling and waste-service customers
• make cold calls and in-person territory visits
• source recyclable materials
• assess customer needs and recommend containers, equipment, pickup schedules, and programs
• prepare proposals, present pricing, negotiate agreements, and close business
• manage accounts and conduct reviews
• respond to service, billing, equipment, and contamination concerns
• identify account growth opportunities
• coordinate account setup with operations, dispatch, drivers, and accounting
• maintain customer and sales-pipeline records
• work toward account, tonnage, retention, and territory goals.
