Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Tax Accountant role is onsite in Lawnside, NJ, with stated pay of $81,800–$102,000 per year. The position supports the Enterprise Tax Service Group at Educational Testing Service (ETS), an education and talent solutions organization focused on assessment and learning. The accountant prepares and documents tax compliance, reporting, research, and technology-related work across ETS taxable and tax-exempt entities. The role supports accurate filings and efficient review by coordinating data, testing tax-system changes, reconciling work, and escalating issues to the Tax Manager.

What you'll do

• Prepare U.S. indirect tax returns, reconciliations, and liability roll-forwards
• maintain exemption certificates, registrations, and nexus tracking
• coordinate and test Vertex changes with the India Global Capability Center
• support income and franchise tax compliance, exempt-organization filings, ASC 740 provision work, tax accruals and forecasts, audit and notice responses, tax research, information reporting, property and unclaimed property filings, and compliance tracking
• build repeatable data pipelines and reconciliations using approved AI and analytics tools.
