Production Material Handler — Day Shift

Job overview

The Production Material Handler role is onsite in Dayton, OH, with a day shift from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and pay of $20.50 per hour. Shearer's Foods manufactures salty snacks, cookies, and crackers and supplies private-label and co-manufactured products. The handler supports production changeovers and finished-goods tracking by preparing supplies, checking labels and product specifications, and maintaining accurate skid records. The role helps keep production moving while supporting food safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

What you'll do

• Identify shift changeovers
• order boxes from the warehouse
• verify case labels, expiration dates, and customer specifications
• clear basic automated case-packer faults
• communicate production numbers to the next shift
• clean the film area and replenish boxes
• print and scan pallet tags for completed skids
• track orders and prepare for changeovers
• inspect skid, box, label, and pallet configurations
• maintain housekeeping
• assist packers and the production material operator as needed
• follow safety, GMP, and food-quality requirements.
