What you'll do
- Plan, provide, direct, and evaluate preoperative and postoperative nursing care
- prepare patients and the care environment for surgery
- complete pre-admission assessments and review records
- coordinate patient movement with reception and procedure rooms
- assess patients on admission and discharge
- monitor vital signs and progress in PACU
- administer medications, IVs, and treatments
- assist with procedures and emergency response
- and maintain a safe, orderly recovery area.
