Material Handler

The Material Handler is an onsite role in Hanover, PA; compensation is not specified. Hanover Iron Works fabricates and erects customized steel stairways, rails, and other metal components for commercial markets. The handler supports the fabrication shop by staging and preparing steel for painting, moving parts through sandblasting, and helping load trucks. This work helps keep materials organized and ready for finishing and delivery in support of shop operations.

What you'll do

• Stage and prepare steel items for paint
• load, run, and unload parts from the sand blaster
• operate a forklift as needed
• perform rigging work to move materials
• bring steel into or remove it from the shop
• assist other material handlers with staging material and loading trucks.
