The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL, with a stated salary range of $95,000–$114,000 per year. The six-month task supports the assessment and authorization lifecycle for a PSS alarm monitoring system. The engineer leads the Risk Management Framework re-authorization effort and advises the systems team on cybersecurity compliance and risk mitigation. The work supports securing an Authority to Operate by assessing the environment, addressing end-of-life software risks, and maintaining required security artifacts.

What you'll do

• Lead development, analysis, and submission of the ATO package through Navy eMASS
• select, tailor, and validate controls against NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5
• use ACAS and DISA STIG Viewer to assess Windows, Citrix, and camera systems
• analyze end-of-life software risks and recommend mitigations
• advise on the accreditation impact of proposed changes
• develop and maintain the SSP, RAR, and POA&M.
