Learning & Development Specialist

Job overview

The Learning & Development Specialist role is onsite in Laurel, MD. Compensation is $30–$38 per hour. The role partners with the Pipeline Construction Division to develop employees, support knowledge transfer, and improve team performance.

What you'll do

• Assess developmental needs and translate findings into learning programs
• support division knowledge transfer
• design and deliver learning sessions and materials
• conduct skill- and knowledge-based development
• support competency development and legacy knowledge transfer
• select appropriate classroom, e-learning, and guided-learning solutions
• partner with subject matter experts
• facilitate new employee orientation
• and participate in action-item teams and special projects.

Why this role

The posting requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of professional learning, training, or organizational development experience. CPLP certification and a master’s degree are preferred. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a WSSC Water driver’s permit are specified.
