The Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Concord, NC. Compensation is not specified. Mentor Technical Group provides technical support and solutions for FDA-regulated life-sciences industries, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical-device clients. The mechanic maintains critical facility infrastructure and utility systems so equipment operates safely and reliably. The role monitors system performance, performs preventive maintenance and repairs, and supports project and renovation work in a regulated industrial setting.

What you'll do

• Maintain daily logs of operating metrics such as water quality tests, boiler function, safety checks, and water and chemical usage
• support coworkers, contractors, vendors, project managers, and engineers on project and renovation work
• operate and maintain mechanical, steam-heating, water, ventilation, refrigeration, and solvent systems
• service and perform preventive maintenance on chillers, pumps, and control valves
• check gauges, temperatures, and water levels
• monitor and log equipment readings
• assist plumbing or HVAC journeymen with boiler-house installation and repair when needed
• operate, maintain, and repair boilers and auxiliary equipment, heating and ventilation units
• become familiar with the Utility Monitoring System and BAS.
