Staff Project Engineer

The Staff Project Engineer role is full-time onsite in Bakersfield, CA; hybrid and remote arrangements are not available. The stated annual salary is $115,000–$125,000, with potential bonus up to 5%. California Bioenergy develops, owns, and operates dairy digester projects that capture methane and produce renewable natural gas and electricity. The engineer coordinates technical work across the development, design, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable natural gas, biogas, utility, and related infrastructure projects. The role supports safe, timely, budget-conscious delivery through engineering coordination, project tracking, construction support, compliance, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Support engineering design and analysis
• coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, controls, and process disciplines
• conduct field investigations
• manage engineering tasks and project deliverables
• track schedules and budgets
• support procurement and vendor selection
• provide construction and commissioning support
• review submittals and drawings
• assist with permitting, compliance, risk mitigation, and project records
• collaborate with operations, maintenance, environmental compliance, procurement, SCADA, GHG, and finance teams.
